Project Overview
Intrepid has several drill ready projects, including its advanced stage Corral Copper, Tombstone South and Mesa Well properties all located in proximity to established mining jurisdictions in south-eastern Arizona, USA.
The Corral Copper project is a district scale advanced exploration and development opportunity in Cochise County, Arizona, USA. The project area has a rich mining history dating back to the early 1900's, with several small individual patented mining claims extracting several thousand tons of oxide copper with grades up to 9.2%. Located 15 miles east of the famous mining town of Tombstone and 22 miles north of the historical Bisbee mining camp, the project has over 50,000 metres of historical drilling with near surface high-grade copper and gold mineralization to guide the Company's exploration and development efforts. The Tombstone South property is located 5.6 kilometers southwest of the town of Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona, USA. The property is easily accessible via two hours of driving on paved highway from Tucson, Arizona. Historical drilling on the property has identified high-grade mineralization and shares geological similarities to the Taylor Deposit bought by South 32 for $1.3B in 2018. In addition to being 75km northeast of the Taylor Deposit, Tombstone South is also located 32km north of Bisbee, a major copper deposit. Read more...
The Mesa Well property is located approximately 100 kilometres northeast of the City of Tucson, Arizona, USA, and is road accessible year-round. The property is situated within the heart of the Laramide Copper Porphyry Belt with multiple deposits that contain over 5 million tons of copper. The property covers approximately 6,550 acres and is located between BHP’s San Manual-Kalamazoo Deposit (50 kilometres to the west), Freeport McMoRan’s Safford Deposit (55 kilometres to the east), and Asarco’s Ray Deposit (85 kilometres to the northwest).
